Prepworld are looking for a Yard & Waste Management Team Leader The Team Leader’s role, in addition to understanding, overseeing and covering all Yard & Waste Management operator duties, is to assist the Shift Supervisor with the organisation of the team and supporting all day-to-day requests. The Team Leader will be required to liaise with other departments ensuring business requirements are fulfilled, and ensure all areas are kept tidy and organised by the Yard & Waste team. Main Duties Support shift supervisors in monitoring Yard & waste Management areas, ensuring operatives are working as expected and all procedures are being followed Stand in for shift supervisors in their absence, including employee matters such as conducting Return to Work. Look after all baling & compactor duties and ensure all waste is placed into the correct waste streams. To oversee and assist in covering all outside FLT duties – this will be a mixed role of some FLT work and some Waste Management Oversee and assist with safe stacking of full bales of waste cardboard/plastics ready for collection & load onto lorry To drive and handle all MHE equipment in a respectful, controlled, and safe manner ensuring they are sufficiently charged, and all start up documents are filled in correctly. Ensure all machinery start up checks are completed, and any defects reported to area Team Leader/Supervisor Keep Yard & Waste management areas clean, tidy, and organised. Monitor the Seepex system to ensure fruit waste is filling all waste trailers correctly. Report any Waste Management area concerns/issues to the area Supervisor. Support when required with customer tray stock counts, & pallet stock counts. Keep on top of email requests and action accordingly. Unload and oversee delivery vehicles that arrive on site in a safe and controlled manner following all intake processes. When required provide accurate stock counts of all customer tray SKU’s. Notify of any delivery discrepancies to the Shift Supervisor and/or customer equipment team. Take ownership of delivery notes and ensure these are signed and passed onto the shift Supervisor and/or customer equipment team Ability to track deliveries against delivery schedules to include confirming deliveries that have come in and highlighting deliveries that haven't. Always work with H&S at the forefront of your mind. Promote good H&S practices and assist in briefing out any new company policies that are issued.
