Accounts Assistant Crawley, UK (Hybrid Working) Up to £35,000 Permanent Key Responsibilities: Supporting the Finance Manager in managing day-to-day accounting operations. Processing invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner. Reconciling bank statements and handling discrepancies. Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reports. Handling queries related to accounts and providing customer support where necessary. Supporting with VAT returns and other tax-related tasks. Assisting with payroll processing as required. General administrative support to the finance team. Requirements: Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero). Excellent MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.). Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. Ability to work independently and within a team. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. AAT qualification (or working towards) is preferred but not essential
