TXM are working with a growing client who is looking for a hungry and experienced Business Development Manager to expand the company's presence in the Rail Industry.
Our client is supplying innovative and cutting-edge technology to the transport industry, creating an efficient and cost-effective solution to telecommunications. They are looking to expand in Europe, Asia, and Africa with the key objective to grow product revenue and market share.
This role has a range of responsibilities, including:
1. Business Expansion: Grow the client's footprint in the EMEA rail sector, break into emerging markets, and secure key opportunities by overseeing tenders, RFPs, and PoCs.
2. Sales Leadership: Develop and maintain a clear sales pipeline, monitor forecasts and revenue targets, and drive performance by managing CRM updates and contract negotiations.
3. Strategic Development: Support the client's long-term growth strategy by assessing competitors, gathering market insights, and positioning the company as a leader in transport technology.
4. Market Insights & Innovation: Deliver valuable intelligence to Product & Technology teams to shape product roadmaps, stay ahead of industry trends, and enhance the client's visibility at major industry events.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination: Align product offerings, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives across teams to ensure business objectives are met and orders are efficiently managed.
6. Customer & Revenue Growth: Address sales coverage gaps, proactively prioritize key opportunities, and strengthen client relationships through tailored engagement and strategic solutions.
Our client is looking for a candidate from a Rail, Transportation, or similar background with experience in hunting new clients as well as expanding on current client opportunities.
Other desirable experiences include:
1. Experience in related connected vehicle markets, such as buses, mining, urban mobility, and maritime.
2. Knowledge of telecommunications.
3. A degree in Engineering.
4. Proficiency in European languages.
