The role:
H&S Advisor required for a reputable charity, working in a friendly team. This role will involve travelling to shops located across North and Mid Wales, Cheshire, Shropshire and Powys as well as working from home.
Main Duties of the H&S Advisor:
•Deliver clear, balanced, and practical Health and Safety guidance to the retail management team.
•Maintain a structured and compliant Health and Safety system.
•Follow clear and consistent policies, procedures, risk assessments, safe work systems, training, and compliance audits.
•Ability to travel across retail locations in Shropshire, Cheshire, and Mid and North Wales.
•A full UK driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential. Mileage will be paid.
Candidate:
The successfully appointed H&S Advisor will :
•Hold or is working towards Technical Membership of IOSH TechIOSH (or equivalent).
•Possess excellent organizational, communication, and IT skills.
• Be capable of building relationships and influencing at all levels.
• Be able to draft clear and accurate risk assessments, procedures, and safe systems of work.
•Contribute to the development of policies and systems.
•Interpret technical law and best practices, providing concise, pragmatic, and balanced advice and recommendations.
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging Health & Safety trends and best practices.
•Understands HSE Management Systems and UK Health & Safety legislation.
•Brings health and safety experience from the retail/service industry to the charity.
