Job Title: Lead Planning Engineer
Location: Cambuslang
Salary: From £56,160 to £70,200 + benefits

We are seeking new talent to join our team. Based within the SP Transmission Planning Team, reporting to the Operations Planning Manager, you will work closely with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
Leading and coaching a team to maximize productivity, quality, and effectiveness, you will provide technical guidance and leadership to the team whilst leading by example.
Motivating your team to achieve and maintain high standards of performance, you will continually maximize productivity through monitoring of work processes and output, focusing on minimizing discretionary spend and ensuring proactive cost control.
What you’ll be doing
1. Encouraging your team to seek solutions in areas where performance is not on target, setting appropriate goals and targets to be managed through the Performance Management Framework.
2. Ensuring your team is aware of, and complies with Company Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
3. Providing monthly updates on performance, developing and implementing agreed solutions to areas of concern, ensuring compliance with OFGEM and internal levels of service.
4. Responding appropriately to Customer Complaints, taking ownership and resolving as appropriate.
5. Delivering excellent customer service to all aspects of your operation and instilling this in your team.
6. Actively promoting customer service standards within your area of responsibility.
7. Ensuring assigned resources are deployed to maximum effectiveness.
What you’ll bring
1. Experience working in a Planning role at a Senior level within Operation & Maintenance or major construction/infrastructure works.
2. Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
3. Knowledge of business data and management systems.
4. General commercial & regulatory awareness.
5. Developed negotiation, communication, and people management skills.
6. Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges.
7. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate as a minimum:
* Degree/HNC or equivalent in Engineering or Business Management.
* Experience of working on regulatory activities.
* Full Valid UK Driving License.
