Caretaker
Hull - Covering Hull, Scarborough and Lincolnshire
£23,835 - £25,090 per year
40 hours per week
We are looking for a Caretaker to join our North Voids Delivery team, based in Hull. Working as part of the Voids Delivery team, you will be responsible for clearing out void properties once the tenants have left and complete any additional works which need to be done such as any minor repairs. A company van will be provided for business use only and training will be offered as and when required.
The role of Caretaker will include:
* Undertaking general caretaking duties including cleaning void property areas including the stairs, doors and windows, removing bulk waste, completing fence and paving repairs, cleaning out gutters using the skyvac system.
* Grounds maintenance tasks to include lawn mowing, hedge trimming and general upkeep.
* Working with customers to identify faults, resolving issues and improving services.
* Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed.
* Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition.
Skills and experiences:
* Literacy and numeracy equivalent to Grade C English and Maths GCSE.
* Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks.
* Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads.
* Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
* Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery.
* Good communication and customer care skills.
* This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
