The Financial Control Team is integral to the success of giffgaff, responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of the Profit & Loss including c.£575m of revenue and c.£28m of Operating Profit per year. The team consists of a Financial Controller who reports into the CFO, two Finance Managers, and two Finance Analysts of which you will be one. The team also takes ownership for the preparation of the Annual Statutory Accounts, annual budgets, monthly forecasts, half yearly Payment Practices reporting, Quarterly VAT returns, and half yearly member (customer) payback.
The role business partners various stakeholders from across the business in forecasting costs and assisting with procurement queries, collaborating, challenging, and providing ongoing insights around our hardware costs and wider cost base. The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience:
1. Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
2. Highly analytical
3. Experience of partnering with and influencing more senior business stakeholders
4. Strong Excel skills and willing to learn how to manipulate spreadsheets as well as use tools such as SQL Server/Snowflake to perform data analysis.
5. Ability to present and explain numerical problems to someone who is not an expert.
