Woking Borough has a number of exciting opportunities within its busy and friendly in-house legal team to provide more legal resilience across the Council’s functions and services.
Position Overview
As a Legal Officer, you will be involved in providing legal advice, drafting documents and notices. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work primarily on Property matters but with the possibility of developing in other areas.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide high quality support and advice to colleagues and officers of the Council.
2. Support other members of the legal team.
3. Contribute to good team spirit in our small but friendly team.
4. Manage a busy workload to tight deadlines.
5. Support the Head of Legal Services and Director of Legal and Democratic Services in providing a comprehensive, efficient and effective legal service to the Council.
6. Assist lawyers in handling cases.
Qualifications
You should be enthusiastic, confident, and organised, able to work on your own initiative.
