Your Role and What You'll Be Doing This is a superb opportunity for either a Paralegal or a Solicitor to join our commercial legal expense insurance team who specialise in property claims, in this role you can expect to develop your knowledge and expertise by working as part of a successful team in one of the UK‘s leading law firms. This role can be performed from either our Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester or Liverpool office. The successful candidate will work across a wide variety of claims for; damages to property, nuisance, and trespass, most of which are funded through legal expenses insurance. Examples of claims in nuisance would be disputes over rights of way, rights to light, loss of support to land and flooding, whereas, trespass claims are typically boundary disputes, so determining the location of a boundary line and considering whether ownership of land has been acquired over time (adverse possession). Irwin Mitchell form part of the insurance panels and therefore receive direct instruction from insurers to handle such claims. Once received you will be expected to work closely with clients (both businesses and individuals), ensuring you are thoroughly investigating their issues and providing them with exceptional legal advice to achieve the best possible outcome in their claims.
