Educational Healthcare Assistant
Position: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £85 - £110 per day (depending on expereince and qualifications)
Supporting: Children with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Educational Healthcare Assistant to join a reputable school. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support for education, health, medical, physical, and personal care needs, following agreed Education and Health Care Plans. This role involves attending to pupils' personal needs, including toileting, hygiene, dressing, and feeding, as well as offering physical assistance during activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement behavior modification interventions based on issues raised by pastoral staff and/or subject teachers, with a focus on students with emotional or mental health needs
* Provide emotional and behavioral support to individuals and small groups, utilizing a variety of intervention strategies to facilitate holistic progress
* Deliver targeted intervention programs, such as mental and emotional health, self-esteem, anger-management, and self-awareness, to both groups and individuals
* Collaborate with the SENCO, teaching staff, and senior leadership to implement agreed interventions and programs of work
* Assist students in improving punctuality, attendance, and supporting their return to school following prolonged absences
* Work with students individually or in groups, using information provided by the Head of Year regarding behavioral issues, academic levels, and reasons for referral
* Foster a calm, productive learning environment with minimal disruption, while assertively and fairly enforcing school expectations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
