Role: Service Manager - Property and Assets Contract Length: Likely to be around 2-3 months Location: Hybrid/Lyndhurst IR35: Inside Pay Rate to Intermediary: £33.36 - £35.45 per hour Spinwell is recruiting for a Service Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SERVICE MANAGER To lead and manage all aspects of the Property & Estates Service. To lead on the development and delivery of relevant Strategy aligning outcomes to the Council’s corporate plan. To be accountable for performance and delivery of operational goals and the achievement of the objectives agreed with their Strategic Director. To continuously review the service areas to effect transformational change and efficiencies to meet the Council’s Transformation Programme and Medium-Term Financial Plan. To mentor, develop and coach their staff so that they are able to deliver the required levels of professional service delivery. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE SERVICE MANAGER Degree or equivalent in relevant field Membership of relevant professional body (RICS) At least 5 years post qualification experience At least 5 years’ experience in managing and developing professional staff Proven ability in developing and delivering a strategic plan for a property/estates led function ideally within a public estate role Sound financial management High level skills in problem solving, analysis and interpretation with own area Excellent interpersonal skills with strong team membership and leadership skills Ability to persuade and influence at a high level The ability to work effectively with members to deliver corporate objectives Versatility, flexibility, responsiveness and the will to assist colleagues outside of normal responsibilities Strong customer focus and ability to develop effective partnerships The ability to work without direct guidance from the Strategic Director If you are a Service Manager, apply now or send your CV to Spinwell We welcome all applications regardless of background, in line with our commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion.
