Job Title: Divisional Supervisor - Electrical
Salary: £40,000.00 per annum
Benefits: Company Vehicle, company pension scheme, BUPA (single cover), 33 days holiday (including bank holidays).
Hours: 40 hours a week
Travel: This role requires a large degree of flexibility, with regional travel required throughout Wales & West England where required. Travel will not be required daily, and you will plan your own diary. This role is a supervisory position, managing a maintenance team, ideal for a candidate looking to transition to a management position.
We are advertising this Divisional Maintenance Supervisor - Electrical role on behalf of our client ‘City Facilities Management’. City was established in 1985 and has grown to become one of the world’s largest privately held, integrated FM companies.
Job Purpose:
The Divisional Maintenance Supervisor will support the Division Operations Manager in technical knowledge, reporting, and coordination within the following areas:
* Project work e.g., Hospitality focus, P1’s/P2’s, Focus reports.
* Productivity reporting
* Compliance reporting – PPM management
* Spend & Budget control
Key Accountabilities:
* Always comply with the company Health and Safety Policy.
* Complete all mandatory online training and Evolve modules.
* Ensure that compliance documentation is always completed and up to date, highlighting any concerns across the Division to the DOM.
* Optimize people performance.
* Attend training courses as necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.
* Support the Divisional Operations Manager on all technical, people, and FM process issues.
* Provide cover for the Area Maintenance Manager during times of absence.
* Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise Divisional Operations/AMM’s of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacements.
* Advise the Divisional Operations Manager of any repair and maintenance issues arising from CANO/Hospitality reports to ensure supplier/technician actions are recorded.
* Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the Divisional Operations Manager.
* Monitor and report/update the Mercury system including live job updates and resource availability.
* Follow and support spend & budget control processes for the Division, ensuring that all costs are agreed, validated, and approved as required.
* Be the line manager for the divisional allocated lighting team colleagues for holidays, absence, and first-line manager duties liaising with the National Small Works Manager.
* This role is responsible for logging material spending and purchasing, supporting the Line Manager to ensure best value from 3rd party contractors.
* The Divisional Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the direct line management of the lighting team liaising with the National Small Works Manager, along with the responsibilities of a regional team in the absence of an AMM.
Candidates background & experience:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent & 18th edition in electrical installation/Maintenance.
* 3 phase electrics and its applications.
* Retail experience preferred.
* Experience managing/supervising a maintenance team.
* Support on a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g., commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves.
* Quality of repairs and maintenance.
* Speed and efficiency of work within Excel, Word, and other systems required.
* Maintenance of the Health and Safety policy.
