About the role:
The Facilities Officer will play a pivotal role in delivering a first-class service to our residents. You will take the lead on ensuring the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard and provide the residents with a safe, comfortable and pleasant environment in which to live. The role will also deliver a chauffeur service transporting residents to external sites and activities using the home’s vehicles.
As well as ensuring and excellent resident experience, another part of this role will be be maintenance and compliance duties, such as below:
1. Undertake routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs to furniture and equipment.
2. Undertake internal redecorations including wallpapering, painting and varnishing,
3. Log any necessary maintenance works on Trust systems.
4. Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders on works that need completing.
5. Undertake adhoc gardening duties to ensure the exterior of the home is maintained to a good standard.
6. Ensure homes vehicles are kept pristine and in excellent working order.
7. Undertake routine mandatory checks within the facility and grounds in line with legal requirements and Trust procedures.
8. Maintain all records in accordance with company policies, procedures and guidelines in the Property Manual.
9. Responsible for the safe management of equipment and stock within the scope of your practice.
10. Complete vehicle checks before and after each journey using Trust documentation.
About you:
You will have formal training and practical experience in a maintenance and facilities trade. Organisational skills for scheduling and prioritising maintenance tasks effectively and ensuring job completion even during emergencies. A positive attitude and commitment to providing a first-class environment in line with H & S and with the expressed ideas of the residents.
