Are you an experienced sales professional looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking two dynamic Sales Representatives to join our Single Modular Build Team at our Telford office.
In this office-based role, you'll be managing all inbound Single Modular Buildings (SMB) opportunities, both for hire and sale. You'll engage with potential customers through telephone, virtual meetings, and email, taking charge of the sales process from initial qualification to order commitment. Understanding customer needs will be key, and you'll collaborate internally with Darwin Group and Portakabin to request drawings and costs, ensuring you can present tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to increase SMB sales conversions, enhance efficiency, and optimise the sales process.

What we’re looking for - roles and responsibilities
1. You are responsible for working all inbound SMB opportunities through to a successful sale. Individually, you manage all aspects of client interaction during the sales process, requesting and committing internal resource (e.g. site inspections) as required to achieve the desired outcome. When and where required, especially in times where inbound opportunities are slower, proactive prospecting will also be a core responsibility.
2. You engage and collaborate with appropriate colleagues in Darwin Group and across Portakabin to receive support when internal resources are required, for example, to create proposals and formal quotes. You are responsible for compiling all the relevant information that you will use to successfully close the sale, presenting this to the client in the required formats.
3. Customer Relationship Management
4. Build lasting relationships by providing exceptional service and addressing customer needs effectively.
5. Professionally represent Darwin Group and Portakabin, upholding brand standards in all interactions.
6. Internal Collaboration and Coordination
7. Collaborate across teams, including design, estimating, and building services, to deliver customer solutions.
8. Coordinate internal resources to prepare proposals and formal quotes efficiently and at a pace.
9. Planning and Process
10. Plan team workload to ensure optimal efficiency and prioritisation.
11. Maintain accurate documentation and manage the hire process using CRM systems and other platforms.
12. Prospecting and Marketing Alignment
13. Lead the team in proactive outreach activities, aligning to marketing campaigns and generating new opportunities.
Experience required:
1. Sales Acumen – Understands the sales process and the ability to convert opportunities into orders through proficiency in closing sales and handling objections.
2. Customer Focus – Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs. High standard of customer service and follow-up.
3. Communication Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication with strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively across different formats (telephone, virtual meetings, email).
4. Problem-Solving Abilities – Skilled at understanding and analysing customer requirements to propose the most suitable building solution. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
5. Attention to Detail – Ensures accuracy in all documentation and communications and maintains an efficient well-managed sales process.
6. Technical Proficiency – Familiarity with Microsoft platforms and CRM systems.
