Apply now to take your manufacturing career to the next level As a CNC Machinist in Kintore, you will produce high-quality, precision-machined components from raw materials to finished products. You will be responsible for your own productivity, utilizing various manufacturing processes, including turning, milling, and horizontal boring. This role involves interpreting engineering drawings, planning your workload efficiently, and continuously striving to meet production targets. You will be an integral part of the team, promoting a safe working environment, adhering to company policies, and continuously seeking process improvements. Duties & Responsibilities: Safely operate designated CNC machines, ensuring adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, housekeeping, and company policies. Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and electronic images to manufacture components within tolerances and implement efficient, cost-effective tooling solutions. Plan, schedule, and execute workload according to the weekly production schedule, proactively addressing any issues that may impact targets. Complete machine setups, save programs, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine operation. Promote and adhere to company objectives, policies, procedures, and 5S principles to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. Participate in daily briefings and toolbox talks, actively engaging in discussions on quality, safety, and production challenges. Accurately record time entries and report any discrepancies or quality issues to the Cell Leader, contributing to problem resolution and continuous improvement. Collaborate with management to identify and implement process improvements, streamlining production and reducing labour costs. Identify technical issues and offer solutions to ensure smooth production processes while assisting in maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs). Assist in ensuring compliance with quality inspection criteria and proactively contribute to manufacturing efficiencies and performance improvements. Skills & Experience Required: Essential: Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant field or working experience as a CNC Machinist. Good working knowledge of CNC machining centres and the oil and gas industry. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Desirable: Higher education in a relevant field. Experience with CNC lathes, CNC Multiaxis machines, CNC MAZAK machines. Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle or Emax. Rotating Shift Pattern: Rotating 4 weeks of Day Shifts, followed by 4 weeks of Night Shifts Day Shift: Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-3:30pm, Friday: 7:00am-2:30pm Night Shift: Monday-Wednesday: 7:00pm-5:30am, Thursday: 7:00pm-4:30am, Friday off What NOV can offer you?
