Expected Interview Dates: Friday 29 November
Salary: £32,619
Contract: 9 month FTC (Maternity Cover)
About the vacancy:
Hi there!
I’m Jenny, the Recruitment Business Partner for Newport City Homes. We are looking for someone to cover my maternity leave with a strong advisor background in either Recruitment or HR who is capable of running the ‘business as usual’ aspect of the role. This will include supporting managers with the recruitment process, updating Excel spreadsheets, keeping track of the recruitment budget, building relationships with recruitment agencies, supporting candidates with queries, and advertising roles on various job boards.
You will provide advice and support to managers across the association and work closely with our People Admin team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for all new starters, aiming for a positive candidate experience.
Alongside the recruitment element of the role, you’ll have the opportunity to support colleagues in their People Business Partner roles, which can include note-taking during meetings and supporting with case management.
A CIPD Level 3 is desirable, but if you don’t have this, a passion for the subject and a desire to expand your knowledge is important. We have many exciting projects underway that you can get involved in.
This is an initial 9-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) due to my maternity leave, with opportunities to put your stamp on the role!
This will be a varied role with opportunities to work with colleagues across the association, gaining invaluable experience. We expect colleagues to attend one of our offices at least once a week.
We also offer Agile working, enhanced annual leave, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), health and wellbeing initiatives, and a Social Events Committee!
If you want to find out more about the role, feel free to contact me at jenny.rawle@newportcityhomes.
*Please be aware, you will need to be able to start this role no later than Monday 16 December, 2024*
