A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant position at The Haven School.
About us
The Haven School is an Independent Special School for pupils aged 11-19 years, with ASC, located in Mold, North Wales.
The Haven School is committed to the education and personal development of children and young people with autistic spectrum conditions, and in doing so, to work in close partnership with families, commissioners and others.
What will the role entail
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be able to think creatively and flexibly, using an understanding of each pupil’s individual needs. You should be prepared to learn about a variety of approaches to engage pupils and overcome barriers to learning. You will have a positive attitude and be willing to reflect and develop. You will have knowledge of Autism, and will have obtained a Teaching Assistant NVQ Level 3 qualification or be willing to work towards this. You will also hold a GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths. The ability to use your own initiative and think creatively is also essential.
