Qualifications needed:
·Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
·Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
·Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults
·At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies

We are currently recruiting for a Community Adult Psychiatry Specialty Doctor position in the West Mental Health & Wellness Team, based at Barking Community Hospital, Upney Lane, Barking, Essex, IG11 9LX.
This is a replacement, substantive, full-time post, which will be vacant soon. We wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible.
You will join two full-time Adult Consultant Psychiatrist, and a Core Trainee doctor within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be expected to:
·Workaspartofmultidisciplinaryteamsprovidingcaretoadultpeople with mental health needs, across Northern Redbridge.
·Provideseniormedicalsupporttotheteam,anddirectinputonclinicalcases.
·Provideguidanceandsupervisiontotheteam.
·Work directly with adult people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers, and acute hospitals.
·Work alongside the Adult Consultant Psychiatrists within the service and share clinical supervision requirements with them.
·Developlinksalreadyestablishedwiththelocalacutetrusts’A&Edepartments and inpatient wards.
·Beresponsibleforpatientsallocatedtothemandwillassess,manage,plan,and deliver care.
·Supportyourpeersandtheteammanagerandbeaneffectiveteammember whilst working on their own initiative.
·Supervisejuniorcolleaguesandliaisewithotherhealthandsocialprofessionals and agencies.
