We are looking for a dynamic, organised, and enthusiastic Band 5 Practice Nurse to join our primary health care team at Defence school of transport (DST), North Humberside.
This position offers hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs. Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job
As the successful candidate you will work as part of a multidisciplinary primaryhealthcare team delivering general medical services and elements ofoccupational health to military personnel. You will be responsible to the Senior Nurse for the delivery ofappropriate treatment, screening and advice to patients within your professional competence. You will work within the NMCcode of professional conduct and adhere to all Nursing and Midwifery Council(NMC) standards and Ministry of Defence (MOD) policies and guidelines.

Job responsibilities
Duties of the role include but are not limited to:
5. Providing appropriate primary health care (PHC) nursingcare to the medical centre population in conjunction with the PHC team.
6. Triage of minor injuries/minor illness.
7. Vital observations and diagnostics Blood pressure (BP), pulse, oxygen saturation levels (SATS), temperature, respirationrate, blood glucose monitoring, peak flow recording.
8. Acting aslead nurse for the care ofpatients with long term conditions.
9. Maintaining accurate electronic andwritten records maintaining confidentiality of information.

10. Professional/ clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree/diploma level.
11. Must be a Registered Nurse, with a live registration on Part 1 of the NMC Register and hold a valid and in date Personal Identification Number (PIN) with no restriction of practice.
12. Must hold in-date BLS, Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
