We are looking to expand our invigilating team here at Kingston Grammar School.
The role of an Exam Invigilator is to help ensure the exams are conducted smoothly so that all processes are followed robustly. Full exam and safeguarding training will be provided.
The role would be ideally suited to applicants who are highly organised, vigilant and reliable, have excellent attention to detail and can remain calm under pressure.
We have a variety of hours and dates to offer from February 2025 and throughout the 2025/2026 academic year. To apply, please submit your CV and covering letter indicating your availability and when you would be able to start.
These are casual positions required during key exam months throughout the year. We can provide up to 50 working days a year in December, February, April and May/June. Notice will be given of exam dates and agreed on in advance, but applicants will ideally have the flexibility to be called at short notice if necessary.
Rate of pay: £14.70 per hour inclusive of holiday pay.
The closing date for applications is 9am on Wednesday 5th February 2025. The school reserves the right to commence the interview process at any time prior to the closing date, so early application is recommended.
Prior to interview, an online search will be conducted to identify any past or current incidents or issues that might affect your suitability to work with children and undertake this role. This is in line with guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education. Please note this online search will be carried out only on publicly available information and be limited to issues relating to your suitability to work with children and/or in a school environment. Issues that arise will not automatically be a bar to your employment at this school.
Kingston Grammar School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
We particularly welcome applications from underrepresented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation, or religion.
