NURSING DIRECTORATE TRAUMA & ORTHOPAEDICS OUTPATIENTS DEPARTMENT Team Leader/ Sister (Band 6 ) 37.5 hours per week An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic experienced member of staff to join the Trauma & Orthopaedics outpatient s team, working between both Russells Hall Hospital and Corbett’s Hospital. The service runs Monday- Friday (08:30-18:00) with additional weekend and evening clinics running occasionally. This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge or build on your current knowledge and experience in Orthopaedics. You will be working in both elective orthopaedic, trauma orthopaedic as well as virtual fracture clinics. If you are rea dy for a challenge and can demonstrate excellent leadership skills then this is the position for you. To take responsibility for all aspects of day to day management and nursing care within own clinical specialty and support th e Trauma and Orthopaedic Team. This includes but is not limited to monitoring availability of virtual fracture cl inics to ensure patients receive a timely review and assisting departmental Lead Nurse in managing the T&O Outpatients Department. Setting standards of care in conjunction with Trauma and Orthopaedics Directorate, co-ordinate services so that total patient needs are identified, ensuring appropriate individual patient care is given. This involves regular reviewing and updating of patient information and working protocols. The post holder will provide expert clinical and managerial advice and support to staff and patients and also work as part of the team within the Outpatients Department, deputising for the Lead Nurse as required.
