This is a really exciting time to join our Halfords Garage Services team. You will be working at one of our new Fusion centres; it will be upgraded with the latest facilities to lead the way in providing a first-class customer experience and a great working environment, where you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the centres success. Supported by an Assistant Manager and Workshop Controller, you’ll lead a team of around 11 skilled technicians and customer service advisors to deliver a seamless service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for the day-to-day running of your Centre, maximizing profit and minimizing loss.
2. Deliver excellence in quality standards and results.
3. Optimize workforce scheduling to meet customer demand.
4. Analyze customer metrics and Centre performance data to exceed sales margin and profit targets.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience of exceeding customer metrics targets through effective management.
2. Experience of delivering coaching/training in the moment to colleagues.
3. Management experience, including managing capability and performance.
4. Experience of developing colleagues through the delivery of technical training.
5. A track record of success in delivering against sales targets.
6. Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety and quality.
7. Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing.
8. Experience of labour force scheduling, with proven time management skills.
9. IT proficient, with experience of using Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and ideally PowerPoint.
10. A current full valid driving licence.
