If you have experience in community work or social care – paid or voluntary – we’d love to hear from you Key Responsibilities: As a Senior Support Worker, you will: Assist individuals in accessing a diverse range of community activities and services. Provide formal guidance and support to staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Offer compassionate, person-centered care, respecting each individual’s physical, emotional, and social needs, promoting independence, choice, and dignity. Communicate effectively with a variety of people across different settings. Advocate for individuals, ensuring their needs and preferences are prioritized in day care services. Respond proactively in emergency situations and liaise with relevant professionals when needed. Identify and address any form of discrimination in the service or workplace, taking action as appropriate. Please note this role does not attract sponsorship. About you Essential Skills and Requirements: Understanding of issues affecting clients with learning disabilities and familiarity with the needs of this client group. Ability and willingness to obtain a QCF Level 3 Care Qualification. Flexibility to travel across various bases within Luton, working shifts, including split-shifts, sleep-in, and waking nights as required. Physical ability to handle and move individuals safely (training and equipment will be provided). Strong verbal communication skills, with fluency in English to support and advise individuals confidently and effectively.
