Director of Engineering – CPU/GPU Hardware
Location - UK flexible

Our client is a highly ambitious UK based early-stage venture developing advanced processing and networking hardware solutions for AI, HPC and Datacentre applications.
The company is looking to appoint an experienced Director of Engineering with a track record of taking development projects from concept to production.
Responsibilities:
* Own the full product development lifecycle from engineering prototypes to product iterations.
* Lead and scale a multidisciplinary engineering team in the design and development of high-performance CPU and/or GPU platform hardware.
* Drive cross-functional teams including software, firmware, and validation engineers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and Team Leaders.
* Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
* Optimise designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
* Allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity and meet project demands.
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum 15 years of experience in design engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record of leading complex hardware design projects from concept to production.
* Extensive industry experience in architecture, design, and methodology for cutting-edge board design development.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate a high-performing team.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
* Awareness of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to drive innovation.
* Strong business acumen and the ability to align design engineering strategies with overall company objectives.
