Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site.
Duties
1. Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary equipment.
2. Carry out manual labour tasks such as lifting, moving, and installing materials.
3. Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
4. Follow instructions from site supervisors and adhere to safety regulations at all times.
5. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
6. Support skilled tradespeople in their tasks as required.
7. Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and safety protocols.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in construction is not required.
2. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects.
3. Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is advantageous.
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
5. A valid CSCS card is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for the right candidate.
6. Commitment to adhering to health and safety standards on-site.
