Key Responsibilities
Here’s where you come in! As our Home Care Training Lead and Administrator, you’ll be juggling a variety of important tasks (but don’t worry, no actual juggling is required). Your role will include:
* Training Hero: You’ll deliver face-to-face on topics such as Client Moving and Positioning, First Aid, Medication Awareness, and Safeguarding. You won’t just be training our in-house staff, but also external companies, ensuring their teams become heroes too.
* Feedback and Improvement: After each session, you’ll gather feedback from trainees to continually refine and improve the training process, ensuring that our sessions remain relevant, effective, and engaging.
* Compliance Champion: You’ll ensure that all training meets the regulatory standards for the health and social care sector, including staying compliant with CQC requirements.
* Mentoring New Staff: You’ll guide new staff through their induction and ensure they feel confident in their roles.
* On-Demand Support: You’ll be a go-to resource for staff who need guidance, whether that’s answering questions about care procedures or offering coaching on complex situations.
* Tracking and Reporting: You’ll maintain detailed records of all training sessions and certifications, ensuring compliance with training requirements.
* Marketing Enthusiast: You’ll review and update our training strategy while working with new providers and creating marketing materials.
* Regular Training Refreshers: You’ll schedule regular refresher courses to keep the team up to date with the latest practices, policies, and regulations.
* Encouraging Lifelong Learning: You’ll foster a culture of continuous improvement, motivating our carers to take ownership of their learning journey.
* Equipment Custodian: You’ll maintain our training equipment.
* Admin Star: You’ll manage scheduling, records, and correspondence.
* Care Plan and Risk Assessment Expert: You’ll ensure all care plans are effective and personalised.
* Expanding External Training: You’ll help market our external training offerings to attract new business.
Qualifications and Experience
Here’s what we’re looking for:
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Health and Social Care.
* A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Previous experience in a training role is beneficial but not essential.
