About The Role
We are looking to offer a Hire Optimisation Controller the opportunity to join our expanding National Rental team based in Stevenage.
About the team
The National Rental team transacts all Rental enquiries relating to Plant, Fleet, Accommodation, Site Services and Tool requirements.
We currently provide a comprehensive fleet of over 9000 trucks, vans and cars, together with over 20,000 items of general plant and specialist utilities equipment from our Regional Supply Centre.
About the role
As the Hire Optimisation Controller you will support our front-line operations, by providing compliant, innovative and fit for purpose Vehicles, Plant, Tools & Equipment.

As the Hire Optimisation Controller, you’ll get the opportunity to:
1. Actively review external hire reports and exchange external Plant or Fleet for available internal assets.
2. Identify current external Hires that are not at the optimum rate and engage with the customer to arrange for the equipment to be swapped for alternatives instructing the External Hire desk to action through suppliers.
3. Liaise with the workshops to maximise utilisation of M Group Assets from all locations.
4. Process all exchanges through the Plant & Fleet Rental mailbox and transacting accordingly using management software (InspHire, Jaama Key2, Oracle).
5. Develop positive relationships with M Group Services Businesses’.
6. Be proficient in all aspects of rental management and general administration.
7. Work as a team player to ensure all tasks and deadlines are achieved.
What you’ll bring?
8. Relevant experience within either the Plant or Fleet Industry in a similar role is desirable.
9. Experience of Insphire and/or Jaama Key2 desirable
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to relate to and work with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
11. Administrative or Customer Service experience desirable
12. Proven IT Skills with experience of Microsoft Office.
13. Good written and oral communication skills
