Job summary Homerton Healthcare are looking for a dynamic nurse who can help develop the Nutrition service at the Homerton Healthcare. This role is an integral member of the gastroenterology and nutrition team and the post holder will provide specialist care for patients requiring nutrition support (oral, Enteral and parenteral). The post holder will be joining a small but very energetic and innovative Nutrition and gastroenterology team, primarily assisting gastroenterology consultants, dietitians and nursing to embrace safe and effective care for patients on Artificial nutrition, supporting the nutrition support team meeting weekly and assisting discharges. It is a fresh new and exciting role and Homerton Healthcare keen for the new post holder to make it thrive and become embedded within the Homerton family. Please note closing date is indicative and advert may close early without notice if there are a high number of applicants Main duties of the job They will work with the Dietitians in developing the service and supporting patients in both inpatients and outpatient settings. They will support the development of policies, procedures and clinical protocols related to the service (i.e. parental / enteral nutrition, management of central line catheters). They will be expected to participate in the Nutrition MDT meetings, contributing to the discussion and treatment planning / referral decisions. They will act as a role model in expert practice faciliting and supporting the delivery of direct care for patients.
