Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for nurturing young minds. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children aged 3 to 5 years, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The Preschool Teacher will work collaboratively with parents and staff to ensure the highest standards of care and education.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play.
2. Create a warm and welcoming preschool room environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
3. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
4. Manage preschool behaviour by applying positive reinforcement strategies and support staff to do so.
5. Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records of their development.
6. Organise activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth.
7. Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience.
8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.
Experience
1. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
2. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or preschool setting is highly desirable.
3. Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with children and families.
4. Leadership qualities to guide and support assistant teachers or volunteers in the classroom.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
6. Ability to manage a small team in delivering the learning and development within the room and support them in planning.
7. A valid driving licence may be beneficial for attending off-site activities or training sessions.
