Job Title: Full-time Technology Teacher

Salary: £1000-£1150 per week

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team at a reputable secondary school located in Lambeth. This is a full-time role, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher to engage, inspire, and educate our students while enjoying a great work-life balance starting in September 2024.
The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching Technology subjects and the ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
The Technology Department currently offers the following courses with the view to expanding Product Design and Textiles through to KS5:
oKS3 Product Design, Textiles, Food (All on a carousel)
oKS4 GCSE Textiles
oKS4 GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition
oKS5 Level 3 Food Science
A specialism in product design/resistant materials is highly recommended.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
Specialism or strong subject knowledge in Technology, Design, or related fields.
Experience teaching Technology subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4.
Knowledge of the National Curriculum for Technology and its assessment framework.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Technology subjects that promote student engagement and achievement.
Develop and implement differentiated schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum.
Assess and provide feedback on students' progress, maintaining accurate records of their achievements.
Utilize a variety of teaching techniques, resources, and technology to deliver interactive and dynamic lessons.
Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in designing and delivering Technology lessons.
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and guardians, maintaining open lines of communication.
