The role is based with the Northern Ranger team at Hawes and you will be primarily working in Swaledale focusing on the maintenance of the public rights of way network, other access routes, open access areas and estate management for the Authority.
You will be liaising with landowners and farmers and carrying out high quality practical work, enhancing public access and engaging with users and communities.

Weekend and bank holiday working will be required as part of your rota.
With experience in the planning and maintenance of projects such as building stiles, path construction, fencing and walling, you will also need to have experience of health, safety, and welfare in relation to practical projects.
You will be proficient in the use of IT, be a good communicator with excellent inter-personal skills and a full driving licence is essential for this role due to the required travelling and visiting of sites.
