Job Summary
We are delighted to advertise for a Practitioner Psychologist post to lead our complex emotional needs (CEN) service based in West Norfolk. The CEN service is a small team which the successful applicant will oversee and lead. The team is funded from community transformation money and sits closely alongside the Adult West Norfolk CMHT. The remit of the service is to provide psychological support and intervention to service users in the CMHT who have CEN. The service offers the full DBT programme as well as other evidenced-based psychological interventions to service users in the West Norfolk CMHT. There are opportunities for further professional development in DBT if needed. The service links up with part of the Central Norfolk locality for a DBT consult.
Main Duties of the Job
* To provide psychological assessment, formulation and a range of brief evidence-based psychological interventions when appropriate targeting the needs of the CEN population in West Norfolk.
* To develop and carry out appropriate psychological or psychologically informed training for staff involved in this project.
* To be responsible for measuring outcomes of psychological or psychologically informed interventions which are reported back to the ICB.
* To be a key player in supporting a co-produced vision of service development, enabling and empowering service users to have equal voice in shaping psychological services.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential:
* Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, or its equivalent, including eligibility for chartered status with the BPS
* Further post-qualification, post-graduate training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
Desirable:
* Further recognised qualification in DBT
Experience
Essential:
* Specialist complex psychological assessment and treatment of people with complex emotional needs
* Extensive experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist and evidence of specialist knowledge gained through practice and ongoing training
* Representing psychology within MDT setting (clinical and organisational contexts)
Desirable:
* Experience of using DBT
