Description
We are recruiting a Transformation Lead. To manage resources, teams, budgets, and timelines, as well as communicating updates and outcomes to stakeholders, including in public committees. With a strong focus on delivery and accountability the post holder will ensure effective programme governance and maintain arrangements for benefits realisation and understanding of how corporate and service change programmes.
Responsibilities
The Transformation Lead is responsible for leading and delivering the transformation agenda, a programme of organisational transformation to deliver the agreed future operating model and medium-term financial savings. The role includes the design, development and delivery of change programmes, engagement with service led transformational change, commissioning and oversight of suppliers to support complex change and transformation initiatives. The span of the role encompasses the whole interface with external partners where transformation is system wide.
Qualification – Essential
* GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
* Educated to at least degree level or demonstration of significant relevant experience.
* Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria-to be Tested at Shortlisting.
* Experience of design of whole organisation transformation programmes.
* Detailed understanding of change management strategies, techniques and programme management.
* Experience of working at a senior level in a complex environment, managing multiple projects with a range of stakeholders.
* Produce board reports, briefings, presentations and correspondence and manage complaints.
* Evidence of handling complex organisational matters and challenging situations with diplomacy and tact.
* Experience of leading and delivering large scale transformation and the ability to convey a compelling and engaging vision of change.
* Experience of working effectively in a political environment, working with elected members and in cooperation with the public sector, third sector and private sector partners and stakeholders.
* Evidence of success in establishing effective performance measures and a performance culture that has achieved significant outcomes for service users including children and young people.
* High level of understanding of emerging technologies (AI, automation) and the potential for transformation of service delivery.
* Able to provide a powerful sense of purpose to energise and motivate people to work differently.
* Strong customer focus, attuned to national and regional agenda and needs.
* Ability to influence people to a different way of thinking to achieve lasting change.
* Ability to analyse and conceptualise problems, formulating and executing appropriate solutions and negotiating successful outcomes.
* Political judgement and skills in relationships and to be proactive in developing and maintaining constructive and ethical relationships.
* Ability to understand financial and legal/contractual information and to develop innovate strategies to maximise service provision within tight financial limits and to maximise funding available.
