We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Deputy Divisional Finance Manager to provide financial management support to the Surgery Division of the Trust.
This role provides accounting and business information to clinical and non-clinical colleagues. You will work as part of the financial management team and provide financial input into decision making, budget management and ensuring the continuous development of financial information and integrating new sources of information.
Working closely with the Divisions operational teams, you will ensure that finance is understood, embedded and part of the daily management of all areas across the Division. You will ensure that approval processes and frameworks are distributed, understood, and complied with within the Division.
Main duties of the job
The Deputy Divisional Finance Manager position will support the financial management of the Surgery Division. The role has direct responsibility for a number of key month-end tasks, including budget monitoring and forecasting, to help ensure that the reported position is accurate and processes are robust. Throughout the month, the post holder will support the operational budget holders in analysis, maintenance, and control of budgets.
The post holder will supervise the duties of the financial management assistants and will deputise for the Divisional Finance Manager as appropriate.
The post is primarily based at Royal Stoke University Hospital with all finance staff currently working under an agile working arrangement split between two days or more on site and three days at home.
