Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity as a Head of Security Operations. This is a global role and you will report to the global Head of Trade Compliance & Security, part of the Security leadership team.
You'll be part of an amazing global security team within Hitachi Energy responsible for safeguarding people, assets, operations, and reputation. Security Operations is focused around five global security programs – physical security, project security, travel & event security, critical national infrastructure security, and security analytics. Overseeing and ensuring global alignment and quality in relation to the five global security programs across the three regions, driving security team transformation. The team consists of approximately 30 full-time security specialists based in three regions – Americas, Europe, and Asia, Middle East & Africa (AMEA).
Responsibilities:
1. Setting and driving security strategy globally.
2. Horizon scanning and risk management in relation to security issues.
3. Drafting, reviewing, maintaining, and overseeing global security regulations, policies, and processes.
4. Overseeing and ensuring global alignment and quality in relation to the five global security programs across the three regions.
5. Managing security tools and data across multiple locations.
6. Automating security processes and activities (digitalization).
7. Setting, overseeing, and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
8. Overseeing and controlling the global security budget (budget setting, forecasting, controlling).
9. Overseeing and managing reporting on security issues (to senior management).
10. Managing security-related (internal or external) communications.
11. Managing security-related (internal or external) audits.
12. Collaboration with external security stakeholders.
Background:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Security, Risk Management, International Relations, or closely related subject.
2. Extensive proven experience in managing security operations in within a global setting, within government (military, police, or intelligence services), international organization, or an international company.
3. Specialized in physical security, project security, travel & event security, critical national infrastructure security, and/or security analytics.
4. Demonstrable strategic and leadership skills.
5. Exceptional managerial skills.
6. Strong analytical skills.
7. Experience in leading transformational projects.
8. Knowledge of security tools and data sources.
