Role Overview: As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with additional learning needs. Your role will involve working closely with individuals or small groups, offering personalised assistance to help them access the curriculum and feel confident in their abilities. Working in close collaboration with the teaching staff, you'll contribute to an environment where all students can flourish, regardless of their learning needs. Main Duties of the SEN Teaching Assistant: Assist students with SEN on a one-to-one or small group basis, guiding them through tasks and lessons. Tailor your support to meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring they are engaged and confident in their learning. Work as a SEN Teaching Assistant alongside teachers to help deliver lessons that are accessible, inclusive, and engaging for all students. Track and monitor student progress, adjusting your support strategies to help them achieve their full potential. Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure each student receives the best possible support. What We Are Looking for in the SEN TA: Experience working with students with SEN is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting students with additional learning needs. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to create a supportive learning environment.
