The Role
As an Ecological Contractor within our Habitats division, you will play a key role in delivering high quality ecological and habitat management works across a range of sectors and sites. This is a physically demanding, outdoor role that requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the team in delivering works on time and to specification.
2. Uphold excellent health & safety and quality standards on-site.
3. Operate and maintain machinery (experience advantageous, training provided).
4. Adapt to working on various projects and environments across the UK.
Skills and qualifications:
Essential:
1. Well-rounded practical experience in an outdoor environment.
2. Clean UK driving licence.
3. CSCS Card (We will aid the right candidate in getting this before starting employment with us).
Desirable:
1. Brush-cutter experience.
2. CS38 NPTC aerial rescue.
3. Chainsaw CS30/31 (or current NPTC equivalent).
4. Trailer towing experience.
5. PA1 & PA6 herbicide application.
6. Wood-chipper ticket.
7. Excavator / Agricultural tractor / Mini loader competencies.
NB: Applicants with NPTC aerial rescue training will be at an advantage as this is a current requirement within our team.
