English Assistant Faculty Leader - MPS / UPS plus TLR 2a (£3,391) (full time / permanent)
Required for September 2025, a highly skilled and passionate Teacher of English with ambitions for further middle and senior leadership responsibilities in the longer term. The appointed candidate will support the leadership of the successful and thriving English curriculum team at our high achieving and oversubscribed school in north central Bristol. This is a permanent position.

The English Faculty is a tight-knit team of creative thinkers and dedicated practitioners. With a commitment to inclusivity: adaptation, oracy and representation sit at the heart of the team's work. The curriculum in English at Cotham is richly diverse, with a focus on developing our young people into critical, creative and conceptual readers, writers and speakers.
The leadership of the English team is made up of a Faculty Leader, Deputy Faculty Leader and Assistant Faculty Leader. Within the English faculty we also have school-wide lead teachers for Oracy and Reading.
As well as ensuring that every child has secure foundational skills in linguistics, the English Faculty at Cotham also strives to empower every student to hold innovation, courage and equity at the core of their intellectual and emotional development.
English at Cotham is taught at all Key Stages, with a significant offering at Post 16 (5 different A Level courses in the department) as part of the North Bristol Post 16 Centre.
