Up to £35,000 based on 30 hours + company bonus + great pension
Monday – Friday / 30 hours a week (4- or 5-days negotiable)
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, highly successful company based in Telford on a permanent basis. The role will report into the HR Business Partner and will be a full and varied HR Advisory level role. Working with management throughout the business to give solid advice and guidance to the leadership team, handling any ER casework where required, and working on projects and improvements within the HR department.
Skills and Experience
Employee Relations Casework:
* Manage and support employee relations (ER) casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance issues.
* Provide guidance and advice to line managers to ensure appropriate and consistent handling of employee relations matters.
* Conduct investigations into employee concerns, preparing reports, and advising on potential outcomes.
Absence Management:
* Oversee the absence management process, including sickness and other leave, ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Work with managers to provide advice on managing short-term and long-term sickness absence, return-to-work processes, and fitness-for-work assessments.
* Track and report on absence data, identifying trends and recommending appropriate actions.
Implementation of HR & Payroll System:
* Lead and support the implementation of a new HR & payroll system, working closely with the HR and IT teams.
* Ensure that the system is integrated into daily HR functions, including data management, payroll processing, and reporting.
* Provide training and support to staff and managers on the new system.
Wellbeing & Engagement Projects:
* Develop and execute employee wellbeing programs to foster a positive workplace culture and improve employee engagement.
* Support initiatives related to mental health, work-life balance, and overall employee well-being.
* Collect and analyse feedback from employees to continuously improve wellbeing offerings.
Occupational Health Support:
* Assist in managing the relationship with occupational health services, supporting referrals, and ensuring that necessary assessments are carried out.
* Advise managers on how to address occupational health concerns, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Support employees in accessing appropriate health resources and accommodations.
Recruitment Campaigns:
* Lead end-to-end recruitment campaigns, ensuring the attraction, selection, and onboarding of top talent.
* Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, write job descriptions, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews.
* Work closely with external recruitment agencies where necessary.
New Starter Process:
* Oversee the new starter process, including conducting inductions and ensuring all necessary paperwork and compliance requirements are met.
* Ensure a smooth transition for new employees, fostering a positive first experience at the company.
* Support the integration of new starters into the team and monitor their early development.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in an HR advisory role or similar, with strong knowledge of HR best practices.
* Experience in managing employee relations casework, absence management, and recruitment.
* Familiarity with HR & payroll systems where you could support with the implementation.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advisory skills.
* Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally, to deliver HR solutions.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent HR experience is desirable.
