Techniche Global are supporting an engineering company to appoint a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will ensure that our Client’s final product observes the company’s quality standards. As a detail-oriented professional, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems, and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes. Salary: up to £45k\n Location: Luton (This role is 90% office based and 10% in the factory or visiting customers/suppliers’ sites)\n Duration: perm/ full-time\n Requirements: UK passport holder; heavy manufacturing experience \n \n Key requirements:\n \nCreate, prepare, and implement the ITP and any associated and relevant directives, procedures and instructions needed to support the plan.
\nDevelop and manage the quality control and quality assurance procedures and conformance reviews ensuring contract requirements are met. \nReview of enquiry documents and preparation of summary QA/QC documentation as part of quotation submission. \nPurchase text checking and amending to Requirements.
\nPrepare and maintain product specifications and process procedures, including monitoring approval records (Agility System). \nControl of contract quality plans and monitor live QP’s for daily status. \nControl of CAPA’s, ECR’s.
\nCertificate checks and stamped sign off against standards and HT PO text. \nControl of Sub- Contract deliveries monitoring progress, compliance, and due dates. \nMaintain and control of weld C welder qualifications where appropriate.
\nEnsure changes in specifications are reflected in accordance with Engineering Manager’s requirements. \nMonitor and incorporate changes to QA compliance incorporating relevant design codes (ASME, API, etc.) \nProvide quality support to Sales, Operations, Production Engineering, Manufacturing and Test. \nParticipate or lead quality improvement projects.
\nParticipate in supplier and internal and external QA audit activity. \nCheck material certification against material standards. \nApprove suppliers ITP’s and procedures.
\nReview/ amend/ create HT procedures. \n What you will need:\n \nMinimum of 5 years’ experience within a QAE role. \nAerospace Specifications Knowledge OR MoD/BAE/ Rolls Royce Specification Knowledge.
\nAbility to understand and interpret technical drawings. \nExperience in Microsoft word, Excel. \nUK Passport holder (dual nationality permitted, but the first nationality must be British).
\nPCN/SNT Knowledge. \nA Full Driving Licence. Desirable knowledge/ experience:\n \nKnowledge of GS3001 (RR Supplier Quality Management system requirements).
