About the Role
As a key member of the Student and Learning Systems team, the Systems Analyst (Operations) provides high-quality functional support for student and learning systems, ensuring the smooth operation of critical administrative processes. You will be responsible for triaging and resolving incidents, managing routine system requests, and monitoring system performance to identify emerging issues. Success in this role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, along with expertise in student systems configuration.
Your responsibilities will include :
* Incident Management & Resolution – Triage, investigate, and resolve second and third-level incidents, ensuring issues are well-documented and tracked. Maintain a knowledge repository, escalate priorities in JIRA, and report any SLA breaches.
* System Monitoring & Communication – Proactively monitor system health, notify stakeholders of issues, and provide timely updates on system performance and incidents.
* Operational & Business Support – Perform administrative tasks, manage access requests, and contribute to peak period activities to meet operational obligations.
* System Configuration & Vendor Collaboration – Undertake routine system configuration, track vendor issue resolutions, and ensure all changes align with best practices and organisational policies.
Who we are looking for
You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a self-driven, collaborative mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
You will also have :
* An undergraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* A strong understanding of the Agile mindset (highly desirable).
* Technical competence in incident analysis, request fulfilment, problem resolution, and the ability to triage and escalate issues as needed.
