Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Approved Mental Health Practitioner, Lancashire Council, Adults Mental Health Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Provide a duty Approved Mental Health Professional Service for Lancashire residents who require assessment under the Mental Health Act 1983.
2. Require highly skilled, resilient and experienced AMHPs to undertake assessments in accordance with legislation and related Codes of Practice.
3. Contribute to service delivery that is person-centred and outcome-focused with an emphasis on least restrictive principles and enabling recovery.
4. Ensure collaborative work with colleagues and with other professionals and agencies, emphasizing a multi-agency team of support for individuals whose needs are complicated or unstable.
5. Contribute to the provision of high-quality assessments, reviews, and support plans for individuals, in consultation with the person and their carer.
6. Liaise with others involved in the service users' / carers' care to support decision-making in future needs, such as the provision of ongoing effective support; contribute to information gathering regarding safeguarding of children and adults and effective risk management, including clear decision-making and reporting on outcomes.
7. Effectively manage your own assessment allocations and support allocation to others as part of a duty system.
8. 6pm-12 midnight (twilight shifts) 5 nights a week on a rolling rota pattern.
9. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
