Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled digital first Copywriter to develop and create compelling, audience-centric content that drives engagement and conversions across various digital platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of online customer behaviour, SEO practices, and a flair for storytelling that aligns with brand objectives. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand voice and driving our marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Voice and Alignment:
2. Develop and ensure consistency in tone and style across all content and copy, adhering to brand guidelines.
3. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop content that supports the brand strategy.
1. Content Creation:
2. Write clear, persuasive, compelling, and SEO-optimized content for our website, blog, landing pages, POS, printed materials and other digital formats.
3. Develop headlines, taglines and CTAs that captivate and convert audiences.
4. Develop effective captions, copy and headlines for organic and paid Social.
5. Develop persuasive copy for brochures, flyers, posters, and other print materials.
6. Create product copy and descriptions for offline and online materials including website and POS.
7. Adapt tone, style and messaging to fit the specific needs of each platform and target audience.
1. SEO Optimization:
2. Incorporate SEO best practices into all content to enhance visibility and organic traffic.
3. Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for content creation.
4. Write meta descriptions, alt text, and other SEO elements to improve search engine ranking.
1. Campaign Support:
2. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies and support marketing campaigns.
3. Craft copy for online and offline campaign materials, including email, advertorials, social and advertising.
1. Proofreading and Editing:
2. Review and edit content for accuracy, grammar, and style, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
1. Analytics and Reporting:
2. Monitor and analyse content performance using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Similarweb etc and provide insights for continuous improvement.
1. Industry Trends:
2. Stay updated with relevant industry trends and competitor products to continuously refine and improve copywriting strategies.
1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
2. Partner with designers, developers, and product teams to ensure cohesive and effective digital content.
3. Participate in brainstorming sessions and creative meetings to develop innovative content ideas.
Qualifications
1. Education: Preferably bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
1. Experience: 3+ years of experience in copywriting, content creation, or a similar role, preferably within a marketing or advertising agency.
1. Essential Skills:
2. A creative thinker with a passion for storytelling.
3. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
4. Strong understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them to content creation.
5. Experience of optimising content for search engines and ranking factors.
6. Ability and appreciation for data and analytics to inform content development.
7. Ability to write for various audiences and adapt to different brand voices.
8. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
1. Preferred Experience:
2. Knowledge of the fine jewellery sector and appropriate terminology is desirable.
3. Experience in writing for the high-end/luxury industry, with an understanding of luxury brand aesthetics and consumer expectations.
4. Experience with tools such as:
5. Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
6. Content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
7. Email marketing platforms like Ometria or Klaviyo.
8. Graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
9. Project management tools like Asana.
