This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our Building Standards team at Stirling Council. We are seeking a motivated and driven individual with good values and a genuine interest in building standards and the built environment.
\n
We are looking to recruit a Graduate Building Standards Surveyor who will assist in carrying out all aspects of the building standards function. This will include building warrant assessments, compiling reports, site inspections, dealing with dangerous buildings, enforcement, safety at sports grounds and also provide advice to agents, developers, and customers. You will possess good written and verbal communications skills and support the team in assessing complex projects.

You must have a good standard of written and spoken English, good digital skills, be able to prioritise and manage workload effectively, work well under pressure and as part of a team, and demonstrate a customer-focussed approach.
\n
Your responsibilities will include assisting the Building Standards Team leader/Co-Ordinator in the day-to-day operation of the building standards service and to contribute to the successful delivery of Council and service targets, the National Performance Framework criteria and the overall service performance.
