Unlike traditional marketplaces, VOL operates on a drop shipping model—partnering with high-end retailers like Harrods, Net-a-Porter, and exclusive independent brands via API integrations. This allows VOL to offer an ever-evolving selection of luxury goods without holding inventory, making it cost-efficient yet exclusive.
Key features include:
1. Exclusive, hard-to-find luxury items, accessible only through VOL e.g. Hermes Birkin.
2. Affiliate integrations with high-end retailers, ensuring seamless product discovery.
3. Editorial-driven commerce, where content and shopping merge to inspire purchases.
4. Luxury perks for Insignia cardholders, such as reward-based payments, early access, and member-only drops.
5. Gamified shopping features, including virtual try-ons and mix-and-match styling tools.
6. A drop shipping fulfillment model, allowing brands to fulfill orders directly, reducing inventory risks.
Role Overview:
The Partnerships Manager is responsible for securing luxury brand partnerships, negotiating exclusive collaborations, and managing API integrations for VOL Online Shop. This role ensures that the platform features rare, high-value products while leveraging exclusive deals and affiliate partnerships.
This is a highly strategic role, requiring expertise in business development, high-end brand collaborations, and luxury retail negotiations.
Responsibilities:
1. Secure partnerships with luxury brands, department stores (e.g., Harrods, Net-a-Porter, Threads Styling), reseller market and boutique designers.
2. Negotiate exclusive product listings, collaborations, and API integrations.
3. Ensure luxury product curation aligns with VOL’s exclusivity and brand positioning.
4. Establish API-driven partnerships with luxury retailers for seamless product sourcing.
5. Ensure API integrations enable real-time inventory updates and accurate pricing.
6. Develop limited-edition collaborations and exclusive capsule collections.
7. Ensure Insignia cardholder-exclusive perks such as early access, VIP drops, and reward-based shopping experiences.
8. Drive revenue through affiliate commissions, luxury product markups, and brand collaborations.
9. Work with the E-Commerce Manager to optimize conversion rates and customer engagement.
10. Ensure all partner product listings, API integrations, and exclusive collaborations are in place before launch.
11. Confirm that product data, brand visuals, and campaign materials are finalized.
Requirements:
1. 5+ years in luxury brand partnerships, affiliate marketing, or business development.
2. Strong relationships within the luxury fashion, jewellery, and high-end retail industry.
3. Experience negotiating high-value contracts and managing API-based e-commerce partnerships.
4. Ability to identify rare and exclusive products that align with VOL’s curated marketplace.
5. Knowledge of affluent consumer behaviours and exclusive shopping trends.
