Job Title: Construction Manager

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of key construction projects within a regulated and highly professional environment. This role is site-based and will involve direct oversight of construction activities, coordination with multiple stakeholders, and management of contractual obligations to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring alignment with scope, time, quality, and budget expectations.
2. Oversee on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
3. Coordinate with Construction Coordinators, contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
4. Manage construction delivery under different contractual frameworks, ensuring risks and variations are effectively managed.
5. Provide accurate reporting on project progress, risks, and financial performance.
6. Ensure consistent application of health, safety, and environmental standards across all construction activities.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
1. Typically 8+ years of relevant experience in construction project management within a similar industry sector.
2. HND or equivalent in a construction-related discipline.
3. Ideally working towards a professional qualification (e.g. CEng, MCIOB, MICE, MCIWEM).
4. APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) or equivalent.
5. CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certified.
6. Proven track record of delivering complex construction projects in a regulated, contract-driven environment.
7. Strong financial and commercial awareness with experience managing various contractual arrangements.
8. Highways/Utilities experience.
