Quality Assurance Assistant for the food industry required, based near Kidderminster. Requiring a degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Natural Sciences or similar and an enthusiastic and proactive mindset. Any industrial QA experience in the food industry would be advantageous.
Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
SRG is exclusively partnered with a rapidly growing food manufacturing business who are now looking to hire a Quality Assurance Assistant to join the team at their site near Kidderminster. The role is an office-based role, working with multiple departments including Production, R&D, QC and H&S. This exciting opportunity would be well suited to a recent scientific graduate who is passionate about the food industry and keen to kick-start their career outside of a laboratory environment.

Role / Description
1. Internal auditing of the production facilities to ensure regulatory compliance
2. Maintain the on-site QMS (Quality Management System)
3. Respond to customer queries promptly, with timely completion of required documentation such as customer questionnaires
4. Handle customer complaints, ensuring effective management through to completion
5. Maintain and update product specifications for new and existing products
6. Effectively liaise with multiple departments in the business to translate complex information succinctly
7. Support with external regulatory audits
8. Other quality assurance tasks as required to support the team.
Requirements
1. Recently graduated in Chemistry, Food Science, Natural Sciences, Biochemistry or similar
2. An obvious passion for food science and/or the wider food industry
3. Excellent communication skills, possessing the ability to translate complex information
4. Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn
5. Organised and process-driven with high attention to detail
6. Able to multi-task and change priorities quickly depending on business need.
