We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible individual to assist in providing an effective, efficient and safe cleaning service.
The College’s cleaning service is run in-house and managed by our Site Manager, overseen by our Cleaning Supervisor. Previous experience in a similar role and/or environment is an advantage, though training will be given. More important is a commitment to achieving high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, combined with a flexible and positive approach.
The successful candidate will be appointed to point 3 of the College’s support staff pay spine, currently £22,312 p.a. (for full-time), on a permanent basis for an average of 16 hours per week. Actual salary is pro-rata to contracted hours and weeks worked (e.g., £ £8,238.28 pa, for 16 hours per week).
Employment will be on a permanent basis for an average of 16 hours per week starting as soon as the successful candidate is available, following safeguarding and recruitment checks.
Normal working hours are Monday to Thursday 4.15 pm to 7.30 pm and Friday 4.15 pm to 7.15 pm.
Salary for term-time staff is paid in equal monthly instalments over the year and includes a payment of 5.4 weeks for pro-rata entitlement to annual leave and public holidays.
Salary payments are made monthly by credit transfer on the last business banking day of the month. You will be eligible to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Annual leave entitlement is 22 days per annum in addition to public holidays, rising to 25 days after 5 years’ continuous service.
