We are looking for a skilled Butcher to join our team in preparing high-quality meats for sale in our farm shop. We produce our own grass Fed Lamb, as well as Pork and use locally sourced Beef. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, and butchery techniques. We are looking for someone who will work with the owners to drive sales and if this is achieved then an opportunity to take on a leadership role with the company is there.
Duties:
– Prepare cuts of meat according to customer specifications
– Ensure meat products are trimmed, cut, and packaged correctly
– Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the butchery area
– Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
– Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
– Assist in developing new meat products and recipes
– Provide excellent customer service by offering advice on meat selection and cooking techniques
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Butcher or similar role within a kitchen or restaurant environment
– Knowledge of various butchery techniques and cuts of meat
– Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food production setting
– Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Hours
Approximately 40 Hrs/Week, 5 days a week including weekend work.
Pay
From £13.00 per hour
