Are you an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist looking for an opportunity to grow and develop? If so, join Bradley Complex Care, a specialist inpatient hospital for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, with additional needs requiring an inpatient stay under the Mental Health Act (1983, 2007).
You will be instrumental in promoting health and independence by delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions, along with providing clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation to the wider multidisciplinary team.
You will demonstrate specialist expertise and skills in areas such as occupational engagement, environmental adaptation, and development and maintenance of skills needed for meaningful participation.
You will also manage a small designated caseload of 15-20 clients, using your theoretical and practical experience to complete assessments, plan and implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes in line with care plans. You will be supported by an experienced team of three Occupational Therapy Assistants and receive clinical supervision from the Regional Lead OT.

Your responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist will include:
1. Communicating effectively with clinicians, managers, directors, service users, carers, families, stakeholders, and agencies.
2. Providing compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff and support staff.
3. Ensuring the effective delivery of occupational therapy student placements.
4. Supporting supervisions, appraisals, and personal development plans for junior staff.
5. Developing and implementing policies, protocols, and care pathways.
To be a Successful Occupational Therapist, you will need:
* Occupational therapy qualification(s).
* Registration with the HCPC.
* Relevant post-qualification clinical experience with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
* Extensive experience applying occupational frameworks and approaches.
* Effective clinical reasoning skills.
* Specialist knowledge of assessment and intervention models.
* Knowledge of working with vulnerable individuals.
